netChalk allows you to manage all your school information including
such things as: curriculum notes, homework assignments, classroom and student home
pages, bus schedules and lunch menus.
netChalk allows you to organize documents into folders and
sub-folders, enabling you to customize the site according to your
own needs. Document submissions can originate from students, teachers or
other staff. Following a review process, their documents are available
immediately for others to view.
netChalk supports the following file types:
- Microsoft Word Documents
- Microsoft PowerPoint Presentations
- Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets
- Adobe Acrobat PDF documents
- Real-Audio Streaming Media
- Native image files such as GIF, JPG, BMP, and TIFF
- HTML documents
netChalk can be viewed in Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator versions 3.0 or higher and requires no special plug-ins other than Adobe Acrobat Reader and Real-Audio (both free to download).

Integrated with the netChalk is a calendar that enables you to quickly and easily publish school events on
your web site. All events are added or edited by way of a browser interface. The calendar allows for filtering to display events by any combination of:
- Date range,
- One or multiple schools, and
- One of multiple categories (Athletics, PTA, Board, Fine Arts, etc.)
The events that match these filters can then be displayed to the screen or printed.Parents
with children at more than one school in your district, can quickly
generate a printed calendar of all activities for those selected
schools. School
staff persons can update the calendar from any web-browser. The process
is simple and secure. |
